SECTION 1 WRIST STRAP TEST
The test could identifiy the resistance among the operator, wrist strap and the grounding connection.
A. Put the wrist strap on and connect the plug to the socket of the test instrument.
B. Turn the switch to the position of WRIST STRAP.
C. Start the testing by pressing the TOUCH PLATE button. The instrument will be ready within 2 or 3 seconds.
D. The instrument will display the resistance between the operator and the wrist strap. (under normal circumstance, the resistance should be 10e6 to 10e7)
Remark: Do not touch any metal part while doing the testing.
SECTION 2 FOOT STRAP TEST
In order to ensure a proper operation, make sure test one foot only while doing the test for conductive shoe or foot strap.
A) Turn the switch to the position of FOOT PLATE.
B) Leave one foot on the pedal. If the floor is conductive, then have to lift up the other foot.
Make sure there is no metal object insert into the WRIST CORD socket.
C)Start the testing by pressing the TOUCH PLATE button. The instrument will be ready within 2 or 3 seconds.
D)The instrument will display the resistance between the operator and the foot strap.
E)Repeat step A to C for testing the other foot.
